Set in the friendly village of Wark on the River North Tyne, Burnside Cottage is a newly refurbished, spacious but cosy cottage. The kitchen/diner with a wood burning stove and Smart TV is a perfect space for spending time with family and friends and a separate lounge, also with a Smart TV, offers an alternative, comfortable room to relax in. 

The master bedroom with king-size bed, enjoys a Smart TV and ensuite shower room with a large walk-in rain shower. The second bedroom also has a king-size bed and Smart TV. The third bedroom offers two single beds and a high quality futon which is also a comfortable sofa. A spacious family bathroom offers a bath with over bath rain-shower.

At the rear of the property is a south-facing patio area with a dining table and comfortable seating – ideal for relaxing in the sun or enjoying Wark’s dark night skies.
 
Burnside Cottage is ideally situated to explore Hadrian’s Wall, Kielder and Northumberland National Park. A perfect spot for walkers, cyclists, fishing, paddle boarders, Dark Sky lovers and those in search of peace and quiet. Its close proximity to the A68 and A69 make the delights of Northumberland’s dramatic coastline and stunning countryside easily accessible. The village benefits from a Post Office which also sells a wide range of essentials, refill ‘eco’ products, newspapers and local gifts and there is a well stocked Premier convenience store. 

The award winning Battlesteads Hotel and restaurant has a public bar and a large beer garden and the Grey Bull is the perfect location to enjoy a game of pool or watch football on the large screen TV. A regular bus service makes the local town of Hexham and nearby villages easily accessible without a car.
